Weekly Roundup

This week I had Thanksgiving on the brain, so I shared my thanks and gratitude on Monday and on Wednesday I shared five life lessons that can be gleaned from the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special. On Friday, JD Roth, founder of Get Rich Slowly, joined my podcast to talk about money and happiness which are two topics I could talk about all day long. This week on Stacking Benjamins, I discussed kids and investing, and the relationship between a CEO and stock analysts.

Posts I Enjoyed This Week

  1. My friend Tonya (who is on my podcast next Friday) is back with another edition of BATB TV and she did not disappoint!
  2. Mel at Broke Girl Rich discussed the importance of being debt free in the arts, but it really applies to anyone in any industry.
  3. Stefanie at The Broke and Beautiful Life shared an awesome list of shopping apps for those of you about to get your holiday shopping on.
  4. Laurie at The Frugal Farmer shared her 30 best cooking tips and I can personally attest to #1 since I used it for Thanksgiving dinner!
  5. Liz at Budgeting for More shared 10 reasons why she loves living a frugal lifestyle.

I hope that if you celebrated Thanksgiving, that you had a wonderful one. I hosted at my home my first gluten-free Thanksgiving (because of 4 people's allergy) and I think it turned out great. It took a lot of thought and planning and my hat goes off to all of those who live with this everyday.

How was your Thanksgiving? Did you do any shopping on Black Friday?
