Weekly Roundup
Weekly Roundup
I don't know about the rest of you, but this week seemed to FLY right by for me. I can't believe it's actually over. For me, I was happy to spend the week at home with my family after the week away at FinCon. I loved the conference, but it is always nice to come home. This week, I had attention to details on my mind. On Monday, I encouraged everyone to focus on the small things because they not only add up, but also the focus leads to better habits when making decisions on the big things. On Wednesday, I shared a client success story about paying attention to details. On Thursday, I shared why working moms are awesome as part of a post I wrote for AOL Jobs. Friday I shared my top ten lessons learned from FinCon.
Here is what I enjoyed reading this week:
- While many of us were away at FinCon Ms. Debt Debs held a Frugal FinCon Fiesta for those not traveling. I didn't have time to read and enjoy it while I was away, but loved reading it this week.
- Shannon at The Heavy Purse shared great ideas for planning for the holidays and not getting in debt. Now's the time to start!
- Tonya at Budget and the Beach warned about having half the desire it takes to succeed.
- Holly at Club Thrifty asked if you could survive on SNAP benefits.
- Melanie at Dear Debt wrote a silver lining letter and it's a great reminder that there is balance to everything.
For those of you who want more FinCon wrap ups:
- Kassandra at More Than Just Money talked about planning now for FinCon 15
- Laure at LB and the Money Tree shared lots of great pics, including one of her drinking chardonnay not champagne out of her trophy
- Michelle at Budget Bloggess shared a great recap
- Mel at Broke Girl Rich side hustled her way to FinCon and even shared a room with 3 strangers.
- Cashville Skyline not only shared about her trip, but came out of the blogging closet. Welcome Kate, formerly known as Addison.
- Melanie at Dear Debt shared about all of her dreams coming true and her heart being stolen by the city of New Orleans.
- Erin at Journey to Saving shared her thoughts and gratitude.
